A logo is much more than just a static symbol. 🎨
It carries the significance of a brand’s visual identity and without one; a brand will unfortunately lose its meaning.
👉a) A logo is the face of your business 😉
We tend to picture a specific brand with its logo, and this is related to your experience and connection with the company.
Whenever you see a logo of a brand you have previously associated with, you cannot help but recall the interactions you have had with that certain brand (both good and bad).
👉b) Logos drive consumer decision-making 😱
We can judge a brand’s products and services, from just a single glance at the logo. This is connected to all the prior experiences we have had with the brand, as well as the visual itself.
If the logo matches your perception about the type of company you think it is, it can influence the decisions you make and the expectations you have from them.
👉c) Logos allow for quick brand recognition 😎
Words are not enough to convey what a brand has to offer, and words are sometimes hard to memorize. As the age old saying goes, a picture is worth 1000 words.
A brand’s visual identity needs to be unique so the brand can be quickly & easily identified.
👉d) Logos make you stand out from your competition 🏆
A logo is directly associated with a business and what its services or products are. Multiple companies could be offering the same services as yours but what sets you apart from the rest is solely your logo & brand.
This provides you with the option to come up with a design that leaves a lasting first impression.
What to consider before designing a logo
We are living in an era that is depending upon digitalization. Since traditional business mediums are being replaced by digital platforms, it is becoming difficult for businesses and individuals alike to build a visible identity.
1. Research and analyse the needs & goals of your business
2. Don’t rely on trends
3. Strive for minimalism (less is more)
Great branding and advertising campaigns are not created overnight. The points mentioned here are important in creating a logo that not only works for building your brand’s visual identity but also helping you run a successful business.
A well-designed logo can bring in more revenue (indirectly), improve customer retention rates and allows people to trust you as a credible brand.
There are many logo creator apps available, (Hatchful, Ucraft, Logomakr or DesignEvo) and they all offer unique attributes, they are relatively easy to use, and the cost to some of them are minimal, however if you want a unique purposely made logo for your brand, contact a professional designer, someone who knows what it’s all about. Also, keep in mind that should you wish to use your ‘app designed logo’ on anything printed etc, you will need this in a Vector format and high resolution – which most of the apps don’t offer.
We want to make this journey for you as pleasurable as possible and we keep you in the loop – every step of the way!
The 5 Basic Logo Types
Different Types of Logos: Which One is Right for Your Business?
A – The Woodmark Type Logo:
Without symbols or illustrations, typography becomes the centrepiece, and the stylized company name becomes a visual landmark of the brand.
B – The Monogram Type Logo:
A monogram logo contains one to four letters, most commonly a company’s initials or first letter. It’s used instead of a traditional symbol, turning a company’s identity into an eye-catching visual.
C- The Combination Type Logo:
With a combination mark, a symbol can appear beside, on top, below or inside the text. It can even sometimes represent a letter in the company name.
D – The Brandmark Type Logo:
A brandmark logo is a standalone image or symbol. This type of logo doesn’t include the company’s name, which is a big risk for a new business that wants its name to be visible. Brandmark logos are best for brand that have already built-up brand recognition.
E – The Emblem Type Logo:
The elements of an emblem logo include vintage-style text inside of a container, (often a circle or other shape). Think of badges, seals, or crests.
